Welcome to the new Eat

Explore the features of the redesigned Eat tab

The redesigned Eat tab in the flok app (version 1.8.1 and later) brings everything food-related into one place. See your week at a glance, keep all your foods in one home, find foods faster with new search filters, and track what you eat in just a few taps. Explore the sections below.

The Eat dashboard

  • Daily progress: the bar at the top of the screen shows how much of your daily goal you've logged so far

  • Weekly Food Intake: see your daily average for the week as soon as you open Eat. Tap See full Food Log for more detail

  • Shortcuts: jump straight to Recent, Favorites, My Foods, or Locations (restaurants and stores near you)

  • View Detailed Food Logs: see your day, with a progress bar showing how close you are to your daily goal

  • Search Food: search by food name or brand

  • One + for everything: tap the red + to open

    • Quick Tally: log a quick amount of protein or phe

    • Create Food: add your own food, formula, or supplement

    • Create Recipe: build a recipe (or custom formula) from ingredients

My Foods

My Foods replaces Lists and is now one home for all your foods.

  • Switch between tabs

    • All: search the full flok food database

    • Recent: foods you've logged lately

    • Favorites: foods you've saved with the heart

    • My Foods: foods and recipes you've created

  • See each food's serving and protein at a glance

  • Tap the filter icon to narrow the list

  • On the My Foods tab, tap + Create a Food or + Create a Recipe. See Adding a Custom User Food and Building a Recipe

Search

  • Tap Search Food and type at least 3 characters. Results appear as you type

  • Tap the filter icon to narrow your results, then tap Apply

    • Brand: show only foods from one brand

    • Foods and Recipes: include foods, recipes, or both

    • Max PRO (g): hide foods above a protein limit

  • Filters you've applied show as a tag above your results. Tap the x to remove one

  • Can't find a food? Tap Can't find a food? on the search screen to request it right from the app

Tracking food

Make sure you're in a profile with food tracking turned on. There are several ways to add foods to your Food Log:

  • Quick Tally: tap the red + and choose Quick Tally (or swipe down from the top of the screen)

    • Tap + or − to set the protein or phe. Each tap adds your daily tolerance ÷ 20 by default; you can change this in Profile Settings

    • Add a photo, food name, calories, ProEQ, or date if you like, then tap Add to Log

  • Quicktracking: swipe a food in any list or in search results to log one serving, or tap the heart to add it to Favorites

  • Multitracking: press and hold an item in a list or in a past day's Food Log, then check off more items to log them all at once

  • Line-item: open a food's detail page, enter the amount, and tap Add to Log (see below)

Food details and your Food Log

Tap any food to open its detail page.

  • Enter the amount in units (e.g. "banana(s)") or grams

  • See weight, Pro (g), calories, and ProEQ update as you go

  • Choose the date and time to log to any day, including past days

  • Tap Add to Log to save it. The app takes you straight to your Food Log

  • Find Saved Servings, Data Sources, and Clone further down the page, and tap the heart to add the food to Favorites. See Exploring the Food Details Panel

In your Food Log, tap a date or the calendar icon to see another day. You'll see your daily total and progress toward your goal, plus calories and ProEQ, and every entry with its time, serving, and protein.
